CADQ is a tool that runs locally on your machine. It allows you to request parts, designs or services and then lets you track those items in a spreadsheet format as tasks are performed. CADQ is written with security in mind. Requests are handled with REST Services so your data stays encrypted. There should be no need to punch a hole in your firewall to allow the software to work.

Login Form

The Login Form is used for security purposes. Logging in provides a means of deciphering who is logged in and what data the person logged in has access to. A user can only view information for their own company or company unit.

First Time Users

For the first time users there is a registration process to go through. Simple fill out the form, ALL fields need to be filled in. Select OK and the form will be submitted for approval. Once approved you will be able to Login and start using CADQ.

Once the form is submitted you will see this message, this lets you know your request has been sent. Select OK to return to the program.

When the registration process is complete you will see this screen. For the first time users, once you’ve received confirmation that your account has been approved you will need to select File>Login and then enter your credentials. You will be ready to start submitting and tracking parts to be built for your next project.

This is the Queue view. Initially its blank but as parts are requested the line items of parts will appear.

Request Parts/Designs/Services

CADQ Part Request Form

The Parts Request form is used to place a request to have a schematic symbol or PCB footprints created for your specific design tools by the standards you select.
Since the user logs into the software the user information is captured automatically. In order to request a part a minimum amount of information is required. Either a Logic or footprint, manufacturer name and manufacturers full part number. Of course the more information entered improves completion time. If your company uses internal part numbers, then you can place that number in the Internal Request Number field. The user can select the priority (Showstopper=4hr, High=8hr, Normal=24hr and Low=48-72hr). Select which Standard we should use to create the sch/fp, either IPC or Manufacturer Recommended. Material type is either Rigid or Flex. Package/CaseCode is helpful if you have a partial part number but you know which package you want. The Datasheet URL field allows you to copy and paste the datasheet URL from your browser or if you want to upload a datasheet pdf you can chose the Upload button and browse to the file.

CADQ Design Request Form

The Design Request Form is used for placing requests for design services. The Contact information may not be the person filling out the form, it may be the engineer or design manager. The project information is for a new design, ECO or a place and route. Other information gathered includes BGA pitch, voltages, high current, high speed, board size and material type and the design tools used.

CADQ New Service Request Form

The New Service Request for is used for requesting services other than CAD parts or design services. This allow tracking of the miscellaneous tasks.
